Waah! Vol 36
I turned 58 on St Patrick’s day last month. I really expected to be in better shape than this. Truth be known I expected to be farther ahead in just about every area of my life. I wanted to be a better husband, better father, better son, better brother…I wanted to be better off financially…I wanted to be healthier and most of all…I wanted to be a better believer.
Tonight I’m discouraged…and my feet hurt…and I want one of Leah’s chocolate chip cookies, or maybe the rest of them. Circumstances have ganged up on me and I’m down in my office (or what’s left of it) sulking and writing or maybe writing and sulking. I can list about 30 things i need to do right now and I don’t want to do any of ’em. I’m stuck in neutral. I don’t feel like praying and there is so much to pray about. I just want to complain for a while and then go to bed….maybe tomorrow will be better.
I seriously need to kick my butt.
Yeah go ahead…make fun of me…I bet you’ve been here too.
Will somebody read these verses to me in a voice that sounds like God?

A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
